This course will provide students the opportunity to learn the tools, techniques, and processes of watercolor, acrylic, oil and other various painting media. Historical and current artists will be studied to learn about style, subject matter, and composition. Students will concentrate on student-generated subject matter based on independent student-teacher contracts. Students will work on thematic development, in-depth media exploration and/or student generated problems and solutions.
