Arizona Education and Career Action Plan

All Gilbert Public School students in grades 9-12 shall complete an Arizona Education and Career Action Plan (ECAP) before graduation. Students shall develop an Education and Career Action Plan in consultation with their parent or guardian and their school counselor. Gilbert Public Schools students develop ECAPs in accordance with State Board Rule #R7.2-302.5: www.azed.gov/ecap. An ECAP reflects a student’s current plan of coursework, career aspirations, and extended learning opportunities. The ECAP helps students to personalize their education and enables them to maximize the opportunities available upon high school graduation. All students will meet with their school counselor to devise a four-year plan during their freshman year.
