Senior Year is Here: Are you on track to graduate?

You will be meeting with your counselor soon to review your credit check/transcript.  If you took any summer courses or retook classes to improve a grade, make sure that they are posted and your transcript is accurate. If you are applying to a university, you should have advanced math in your schedule and by the end of your senior year, have completed at least two credits of the same world language. If you are not on track for graduation, make an appointment to meet with your counselor ASAP to discuss changing your schedule and/or adding an online course through Global Academy.  

Here are some helpful links and information about the accounts that you will be expected to know and use regularly as a student:  

1. Student Google Account (via Rapid Identity Login) - You will use a Google/Rapid Identity account to login to any computer you use in high school. 
2. Infinite Campus - Infinite Campus is where you can check your grades, see assignment calendars and check your credit progress. 
3. Google Classroom - Google Classroom is the online tool used by Gilbert Public Schools to simplify teaching and learning by connecting all the digital tools teachers use in one easy place. Most of your classes will have a Google Classroom for assignments and activities. Teachers will provide you with a code to sign up for their class at the beginning of the year. Tip: Find all your Google Classrooms at https://www.classroom.google.com.

When trying to figure out where your studies will take you after high school, start with your end goal in mind. College is not the end goal, it is a path to a career. There are a number of college search engines you can use to help you decipher the best course of study to get you to the career you desire.

We recommended that you take either the ACT or SAT to give yourself a chance to improve your scores this fall.  If this is the first time you will be taking them, don't worry, set some time aside to study and prepare before test day.
